This site is easy to navigate for students of multiple ages. It has entire sections designed for elementary students and middle school students. Each section is further structured into three spaces of learning, games, and videos. The videos are appropriately leveled for each group (elementary or middle) and the learning activity increase in difficulty and challenge as the ages increase. I think this site compliments the parent section well with sufficient overlap of activities so students and parents can participate together in learning about exercise,fitness, and nutrition.

This site is constructed with four key elements to focus our engagement with the content: Move, Eat, Talk, and Learn. Each piece is structured to support new or continued learning in that area. 'Learn' is a great resource for articles written to inform about physical, emotional, nutritional, and mental well being. 'Eat' displays some kid-friendly recipes promoting a balanced diet. 'Talk' is designed to build communication with parents through email. It is a fun way to open up possible dialogues at home in a less threatening arena. 'Move' is filled with games to help students learn about active fitness and the positive benefits it provides. The site is very usable for elementary students.

This site is highly engaging and interactive.The presentation of kid-friendly activities is best represented through their online chat options and advice column. This can provide a platform for students to reach out to other students and discuss current issues they may be having. In addition to the online community support, this site displays articles, videos, and information that is topical in school and student circles. Conversations can begin here and carry into the classroom to support student learning.

This site provides useful information for parents, kids, schools, community leaders, and health care providers. The site go in depth on healthy food through recipes, gardening, and grocery shopping. Seemingly unlimited information is available for healthy eating and exercise. The highlight of this site is the detailed steps to take whether you are a student, parent, teacher, or school community to adopt the program.

This site presents information through guiding question to various student concerns of health, nutrition, and fitness. The advantages of this site are shown through less discussed topics like weight gain, smoking, food allergies, digestive health, and sleep. It makes many topics that can be hard to discuss with students accessible and uses language to support students in their understanding. I particularly like the social and emotional health resources additionally provided.

SUPER KIDS NUTRITION

This site is supported by three targeted readers in kids, parents, and teachers. The highlight from the kid site is the variety of activities for students across languages, age, and holidays. The site has a comic book design for characters of the super crew to teach about nutrition and exercise. It has a strong visual appeal for students.

DAIRY COUNCIL OF CALIFORNIA

This site presents a wide variety of information to support healthy food choices for kids. Students can build their virtual dinner plate and determine if their breakfast is meeting their nutritional needs. There are multiple videos that show healthy snack choices and calculate whether students are getting enough physical activity throughout the day. I am impressed with this being produced by the Dairy Council of California, as it reaches nutritional needs for students far beyond dairy consumption.

GO NOODLE YOU TUBE CHANNEL

This channel provides access to most of the Go Noodle videos from the original site. I provide this link because it can be accessed without a Go Noodle account. The suggested links to similar videos (zumba kids) can expose students to many different forms of physical movement and engagement.

This site is useful tool for teachers to use when incorporating more physical movement in the classroom. A variety of child friendly videos featuring guided dancing, stretching, kinesthetic learning, and calming activities for students to following along. Students can also create their own account at home to stay moving.

This site provides free online learning games about nutrition and healthy eating. It is a comprehensive website that support quick facts about fitness and nutrition while detailing positive snack choices for students. There are supporting links for parents to find additional information to help students make healthy, informed decisions.

The website is great for providing detailed information on many fruits and vegetables. From ripening processes, to food safety information, this site is useful for students in visual identification of healthy and safe snacks. I particularly like the resources for younger elementary students in coloring pages and interactive games that teach about healthy fruit and vegetables.
